Tip: The Bose Music app lets you set up and control the headphones from any mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet. Using the app, you can manage Bluetooth connections, manage headphone settings, choose your voice prompt language, and access new features through updates.

- Open the charging case. The earbuds power on. Press and hold the button on the back of the case until the earbuds status light slowly blinks blue
- On your smartphone/iPhone, enable the Bluetooth feature under the Settings menu.
- Select the earbuds from the device list. Look for the name you entered for your earbuds in the Bose Music app. If you didn’t name your earbuds, the default name appears (Bose QC11 Earbuds).
- The earbuds light glows solid blue which means you are connected now.
Note: When the earbuds are removed from the case, they try to connect with the most recently-connected device. To connect to a different previously-connected device, use the above mentioned steps.
Pairing Bose QuietComfort 45 Bluetooth Wireless Headphones
- On the right earcup, slide the Power/Bluetooth switch to the right and hold for 3 seconds.
- You should hear “Ready to connect,” and the status light will blink blue.
- On your smartphone/iPhone/iPad enable the Bluetooth feature usually found in the Settings menu.
- Select Bose QuietComfort 45 from the device list OR Look for the name you entered for your headphones in the Bose Music app.
- Once connected, you will hear voice prompt “Connected to ,” and the status light will glow solid blue for 10 seconds.
Note: When powered on, the headphones try to reconnect with the two most recently-connected devices. The device must be within range (30 ft or 9 m) and powered on. Make sure the Bluetooth feature is enabled on your mobile device.
Pairing Bose Sport Earbuds
- Open the charging case. The earbuds power on.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button in the charging case until you hear voice prompt “Ready to connect” and the earbud status lights slowly pulse blue.
- On your smartphone/iPhone, enable the Bluetooth feature under the Settings menu.
- Select Bose Sport Earbuds from the device list OR Look for the name you entered for your headphones in the Bose Music app.
- Once connected, you will hear voice prompt “Connected to Bose Sport Earbud”.
- If you’re not wearing the earbuds, the status lights glow solid blue which means earbuds are connected.
